NH Smart Camp 2011-2012

We jump started with some team building activities. We were so excited to begin a brand new adventure!

The team building games were a great way to get to know each other better. At the end of the games, we were taught how to pitch a tent but unfortunately, we couldn’t sleep there due to weather problems.

After that we had some games that required a lot of thinking and planning. We were divided into six teams.

We also had several high rope activities. Including the victory jump where we had to climb a very tall tree using ropes and the help of our teammates (who pulled us up), we climbed onto a platform and jumped down. It was very scary at the beginning but was a very good way to overcome our fears and boost our confidence.

Unfortunately, it rained very heavily and we had to put an end to all the fun and games and had to take shelter at the hall. When the teachers/camp directors announced that due to weather problems, we had to sleep in a room in fours instead, some of us were jumping for joy while the rest were blue and sighing. The rest of the time, we were dealing with bug problems and rain. In the night, although Mr. Wesley told us that 11.00 pm was lights out, some of us still were doing things in our room, some of us were even walking outside with our raincoats and flashlights till the crack of dawn. Unfortunately for them, they either got caught or locked out of their rooms. The next day we had to be up and about by 5.30 a.m. for the morning exercises.

After that, we had breakfast and got ready for the trek!!!
We had so much fun in the trek but it was also very tiring. After the trek, we had to pack our things and go homeL!! However, we also had an even crazier time at the bus ride home…
