The IPW Challenge: Saving Mother Earth

Photobucket

The school has been working together to make the IPW another exciting event this year!

From the Board to the Principal to the Committee Heads and to the teachers, thoughts and opinions have been shared to finalize plans for the Inter-disciplinary Project Work (IPW) 2010-2011.

All the meetings and the discussions have now come to their fruition and we've finally launched the Piaget Academy Projects Festival 2010-2011!

Students have been briefed this week by our Committee Heads: Marcus (Secondary Schol) and Lourdes (Primary School). The students seem excited and brimming with ideas on how to best work on their projects! Students from Primary 4 onwards will take part in this event and some projects will be featured in the Grand Opening of NH*JIPS this coming February!

The theme for this year is quite timely and will never lose its favor as it focuses on our own survival. Saving Mother Earth has always been a challenge the generations face.

Our Primary 4 students will be taking this on through using recycled material in creating cartoon characters based on the PIAGET Values.

The Primary 5 students will need to develop a Green School of the Future using our campus as their base.

The Primary 6 students will need to Promote (and Sell) Renewable Resources to the Public.

Our students are starting to get their gear on to face their tasks on hand - and when they get on full swing, our imaginations better get a hold on their hats and have a firm grip on the rails as we just might get all blown away with the students' answer to this call.

Mother Earth, hold on as your new heroes get ready to save the day!
