Saturdays at school.
Is never more fun than when we all meet up to celebrate!
NationalHigh Jakarta School celebrated Mid-Autumn with a festival focusing on the Chinese Culture.
You had to start off with a ticket - or card - or tickboard. Didn't matter what you called it, it was your ticket to fun!
There were different booths to go to and it was so difficult to decide where to start!
There was ink-blowing.
Dumpling-making.
Cycling.
Tea ceremony.
Karaoke.
Paper-cutting.
Hopscotch.
Chinese Calligraphy.
Chinese Shuttlecock.
Blindfold Maze
It was all about doing things as a family.
It was all about having fun.
It was all about reveling in tradition!
And when night came like a long awaited guest making a grand entrance, the lanterns came out.
And so did the whole family. We came out. Brought our lights. And told everyone where we belong.
It's been a whole year since the school blog has been out. Do you know how I know? Our first entry was about celebrations - tied in to the Mid-Autumn Festival. That's how I know. So if you look through our blog from this point to the very first one, you're bound to see a whole year's worth of celebrations and activities in NationalHigh Jakarta School - happy journey back and be sure to return to now. :)
